History Of The Jersey Wooly

The Jersey Wooly  was developed in the late 1970's by Bonnie Seeley of High
Bridge, New Jersey. It is a result of selective cross breeding of French Angoras
and Netherland Dwarfs. It was first presented to the ARBA Standards Committee
in 1984 at the Orlando, FL Convention, and  was accepted as 42nd recognized
breed after its final showing at the 1988 Convention in Madison WI.
About My Woolies

I started raising Jersey Woolies in 1990. I bought my first Woolies a Black Otter
buck and a Black doe from Rita and Lisa Jones. Almost all of my Woolies can be
traced back to these two original Jerseys. I have produced many Champions over
the years and have greatly enjoyed watching the breed develop to its present quality.
I don't show as many Woolies as I once did, but I still have a competitive show line.
My Jerseys have wonderful, gentle, calm dispositions and are great for children.
They have long hair (not wool) covering their body and are easy to keep groomed.
Be sure to check out the pictures of my Woolies and don't forget to visit the for sale
page to see what I have available.
