About My English Angoras

My English Angoras come from excellent lines. Wonderland's, Chu's, Starz's, and even BEW's directly from Candy Haenzel's line, just to mention a few. They have excellent furnishings and density, as well as good type and texture of wool. I have a rather small
herd of approximately 15 Angoras. I don't show them as often as I used to, due to amount time/grooming required to bring them into full coat, but when I do have one in prime condition I just can't seem to resist putting it on the table. Lately I have taken several BOV's and BOSV's when I have decided to enter them, and even a couple of BOB's. I
have all colors, even Harlequins, but my true passion is for my Reds, Chinchillas (all varieties), Pearls (all varieties), and Blue-Eyed-Whites. All of my adults are registered,
most with red & white registration. English Angoras have wonderful, gentle dispositions
and make great pets or show bunnies, but please remember if you are interested in this breed you must be willing to groom them. Follow the link to take a look at some of my Angoras, and don't forget to take a look at the for sale page to see what I have available.

ENGLISH ANGORA
History Of The English Angora

The ancestors of this unique breed as well as the three other wool bearing breeds
are thought to have originated hundreds of years ago in Ankara, Turkey, the land
of longhaired goats, sheep, and cats. The French Encylopedia of Sciences mentions
Angora rabbits as early as 1765, and from 1780 to 1791 the Purssian Government
offered prizes for Angora rabbit wool. This breed is distinct in the fact that it has
furnishings on it head and ears that no other breed of rabbit possesses.
