Some Terms You May See On The For Sale Pages
Proven Breeder: means that the rabbit has succefully produced/raised a litter for us and that to the best of our knowledge should be able to, under the proper management, produce/raise a litter for you. It is not a guarantee as to the quality or color of the offspring or to the size of the litter you will get.
Pet Quality: means that the bunny has or will develop several traits/faults that would deemed it to be highly undesirable for showing and breeding. For example: white toe-nails, extremely poor body type, advanced age, etc... **Pet Quality rabbits and bunnies will not come with pedigrees.**
Breeding Quality: means that the rabbit has enough good qualities/traits that it would be an asset to a breeding program. When bred to a buck/doe with a complementing body type it should produce some nice/potentially show quality bunnies. Breeding Quality rabbits may or may not have disqualifications such as: being a non-recognized color, missing nails, over-sized, etc... **Breeding Quality rabbits and bunnies come with full pedigrees.**
Show Quality: means that the bunny has many traits/qualities that would be considered highly desireable for show and that to the best of my knowledge the bunny currently has no disqualifications that would prevent it from being shown at an ARBA sanctioned show. It is not a guarantee of ideal body type or how high of a class placement it will receive. Class placements can often vary depending on over all condition, from region to region and even from judge to judge. We can also not guarantee that the rabbit will remain showable for its entire life, as many rabbits tend to "loose shape" with age. **Show Quality rabbits and bunnies come with full pedigrees.**
Color Producer: means that the rabbit carries genes to produce a particular color and that when bred to a rabbit known to be carrying the same color genes it should produce a percentage of bunnies of the desired color. |
